About Me

Originally from Buffalo, NY he enjoys residing near the District of Columbia for his academic pursuits and the hustle and bustle of the capital city.

Matthew Lockwood is a political science and web development double major at George Washington University in DC.

Matt Lockwood is quite active on campus, participating in a variety of extracurricular activities. He is a Resident Assistant and an active participant in Intramural Sports, including Indoor soccer and volleyball. He also likes to volunteer in the summers at a local pet shelter, in the Washington DC burbs.

Mr. Lockwood was born in Rochester but raised in Buffalo, New York. A middle school trip to Washington, DC first stoked Matt's interest of one day living and studying in such a world renowned town. Soccer and photography are two of his favorite pastimes. He enjoys traveling and learning about other places and cultures, as he did during his sophomore year when he studied abroad in Germany. Matt likes to share the photos from his time touring the countryside and some of the bigger cities as well. He still raves about the autobahn and the ability to get around with the high speed rails also known as the Transrapid.

After graduation, Matt Lockwood plans to work in public policy. He's interested in building business campaigns, policies, and goals, and he'd like to use his web development talents to help him do this.

As his senior year approaches, Matt will update this blog to share some of the most interesting things he has going on. It might be a WordPress template, but Matt is going to see what items he can share with others about his journey at such a prestigious school and such a notable town.
